So the big day came and went. We have a baby. A real, live little monkey that’s half me-half him. It was a girl and she was breech and I had to have a c-section. So totally way off from where I thought I would end up. Yes, it was a difficult recovery, yes raising a kid is hard, no we haven’t slept in seven weeks (longer for me with all the pregnant-up-all-night-peeing and what not), yes it was way more than we ever imagined it would be. She’s awesome even though most of the time she’s either staring at nothing, crying, attached to my boob or sleeping. Just one look at her feet sums it up. And, no more sorting of the laundry. What’s down the chute is what gets washed. End of story. Darks with whites and baby poop-stained items. Who’s got time to sort? You’re lucky I shower every other day.
